Uno has a fantastic gift: he can talk and listen to cars since he was a child. After a new law prohibiting the use of aged cars puts his father's taxi company in danger, he takes a decision to recover an old family car into a “new one”, and its name is King Car – a car that speaks, listen, and even fall in love. A car that has plans for everyone.
A taxi company owner's son has an extraordinary connection with cars: he can talk to them. He makes friends with the car that saved him from a traffic accident as a child, but he also hears the old wrecks complain about the law banning cars over 15 years old from the roads. Together with his uncle, he converts the write-offs into futuristic vehicles that are conscious and speak. They then take on the status quo under King Car's banner. However, capitalism's zombies prove more evil than expected.

#IFFR50# 大银幕竞赛。导演是著名美术指导雷娜塔·皮涅罗（Renata Pinheiro），曾担任《扎马》等影片的美术指导。设定很脑洞，看上去像是个低配版的变形金刚，但后面拜车神教就太亮了，以及闪瞎狗眼的车震戏（一个女人和车发生了性关系啊哈哈哈哈），确实很值得看。当然影片的要点还是以寓言方式来讨论巴西的社会运动了，这一点做得也不错。最后中国人乱入……
设定灵感应是来自《克莉丝汀魅力》，汽车被赋予了生命，男主角能和汽车沟通交流。不过影片发展没有朝卡朋特式类型靠拢，反而更偏向于政治寓言（拜车教的兴起、资本的涌入和自行车党的抵抗），只是拍得太业余了，演员表演也是没法看，尽管贡献了两场人车性爱戏，和说中文的雪铁龙。
