自从和妻子离婚后，约翰（约翰·C·赖利 John C. Reilly 饰）一直单身一人，而前妻即将结婚的消息犹如一把利刃，再一次的插进了约翰的心里，愤愤不平的他忍不住的参加了前妻的结婚派对。没想到，在派对上，约翰认识了美丽温柔的莫利（玛丽莎·托梅 Marisa Tomei 饰），两人相互吸引很快便坠入了爱河。
好景不长，一个名叫塞勒斯（乔纳·希尔 Jonah Hill 饰）的男子的出现为约翰和莫利的感情蒙上了一层阴影。原来，塞勒斯是莫利的儿子，而对于这个21岁的小伙子来说，约翰这一凭空出现的男人显然是不受欢迎的。夹在莫利和塞勒斯之间，约翰左右为难，他能够成功获得塞勒斯的认可吗？他和莫利之间的感情又该何去何从呢？ With John's social life at a standstill and his ex-wife about to get remarried, a down on his luck divorcé finally meets the woman of his dreams, only to discover she has another man in her life - her son. Still single seven years after the breakup of his marriage, John has all but given up on romance. But at the urging of his ex-wife and best friend Jamie, John grudgingly agrees to join her and her fiancé Tim at a party. To his and everyone else's surprise, he actually manages to meet someone: the gorgeous and spirited Molly. Their chemistry is immediate. The relationship takes off quickly but Molly is oddly reluctant to take the relationship beyond John's house. Perplexed, he follows her home and discovers the other man in Molly's life: her son, Cyrus. A 21-year-old new age musician, Cyrus is his mom's best friend and shares an unconventional relationship with her. Cyrus will go to any lengths to protect Molly and is definitely not ready to share her with anyone, especially John. Before long, the two are locked in a battle of wits for the woman they both love-and it appears only one man can be left standing when it's over.

很温馨的一部电影，一个有恋母情结的胖儿子拼命阻挠母亲收获爱情的故事。乔纳希尔的演技很不错。

2011-01-31 评分：8.8 这类风格清逸的小品一直都很合我的胃口，真诚收敛却充满了藏不住的可爱。John C. Reilly 与 Jonah Hill 间的对手戏充满了怪异的趣味，尤其是后者，用偏执的眼神、若有所思的表情将这个恋母情结严重的大男孩诠释得活灵活现。而 Marisa Tomei 则用自然的演技彻底融化了我的心。《Seinfeld》里的 George Costanza 爱她，我也一样。
不知道为什么，个人非常喜欢约翰赖利，非常有喜感的一个演员。从永不止步认识的他。这部片子比较温，不是那种爆笑的路线。倒是一种小清新的感觉。乔纳希尔表现得很棒，也是稳得一批。还是挺值得看的片子
美国人的抑郁情绪其实比我们能想象得还要严重，这也是为什么每年会出品那么多类似silverlining般困境中带来些许温暖的题材，来帮助情绪的释放。如果你经历过，自然会明白。
