Set across the former Yugoslavia, 'A Second World' explores the consequences and symbolic legacy of a nation's collapse. The film places the story of Ljuba Stojanovic, an elderly Serbian man who communicates with a communist-utopian alien world; in parallel with a series of epic \u0026 beautiful, yet largely abandoned Yugoslavian war monuments. Taken together, the two stories intertwine the personal with the national to expose the vivid sense of loss, disillusionment \u0026 nostalgia that permeates the Balkans and the people who live there.
