Whilst Hathaway visits his father, who suffers from dementia, in a home Lewis is called in when a three year old corpse is fished from a well. Then artist Talika Desai is found murdered and her necklace missing. Her agent Sean Wilkinson is a suspect after young student Ollie Tedman saw the pair argue but Ollie's father Ian, Talika's old tutor, was also giving her money. Hathaway identifies the corpse in the well as Indrek, an Eastern European immigrant but it is Lewis who inadvertently sees the man's murder on video.

以標本為主題的案子，內容匪夷所思，最後兇手揭曉也彷彿連環套。對本系列的觀眾而言，最大的樂趣應該不是解謎，而是看下集殺人案會在哪個學院哪個科系爆出來。（大誤）
又是一个类似于团体作案的结果，凶手并不难猜，动机比较离奇，涉及到斯坦福监狱实验，算是一个比较有新意的案件。最后Lewis和Hathaway父子钓鱼的画面很温馨。
