A group of workers earn their livings in a Brooklyn automobile parts warehouse. It's during the Great Depression in the 1930s, most of them are stumbling through the workday in a haze of hopelessness and despondency, three having severe problems with alcoholism. Kenneth, however, is a young man yearning for a college education. TV adaptation of Miller's 1955 play.
