1965年福岛县的煤矿小镇磐城，如今正面临着时代变革所带来的巨大冲击。石油能源逐渐成为主流，而煤资源则渐渐退出历史舞台。世代靠挖煤为生的磐城百姓开始感到生活的艰辛，镇上的煤矿相继关闭，失业不断增加。为了使小镇重新焕发活力，一个兴建“夏威夷娱乐中心”的计划旋即出炉。
世代 居住于此的女高中生纪美子（苍井优 饰）得知娱乐中心招聘草裙舞演员的消息后，和好友一同前来应聘。然而暴露的服装却吓退了很多保守纯朴的女孩，最终只有只有纪美子、早苗、初子和小百合四人留下。在来自东京的舞蹈老师平山圆香（松雪泰子 饰）的指导下，这几个没有任何基础的女孩顶住各方压力，为早日成为优秀的草裙舞女郎而刻苦学习…… In 1965 the planned closing of a coal mine in Iwaki (northeastern Japan) will put 2,000 people out of work with devastating effects on the community. The mining company plans to build the Hawaiian Center to promote tourism, but the idea meets with resistance by the community's union families who boycott the effort. However, a few of the young women in Joban see the call for dancers to possibly provide a more promising future. Norio Yoshimoto is put in charge of organizing the center, with Madoka Hirayama, a professional dancer fleeing creditors in Tokyo hired to train the dancers. Kimiko, her friend Sanae, and Sayuri are amongst the handful first showing up for lessons but soon others join them. When Kimiko's mother, Chiyo, discovers that she has skipped school classes to learn dancing the two argue and Kimiko leaves home. Her brother Yojiro, one of the newly out of work miners, comes to be supportive of her dancing as he becomes protective of Madoka. The girls start to tour neighboring communities and dance to promote the center, getting more proficient in the process. After secretly seeing Kimiko practice, and how good she has become, Chiyo helps gather heaters to save palm trees imported from Taiwan from dying from the cold. Her change of heart as head of the union's woman's organization shifts the sympathies of the community as the opening of the center nears. Madoka has molded coal miner's daughters into professional dancers, and Kimiko performs a standout solo dance at the opening.

据说是真实的历史背景和真人故事，算是60年代日本社会的缩影吧，明明这么平凡的剧情，却总是让我被感动，抑制不住。美纪子在火车站的手语很美，喜欢看苍井优的舞蹈，有种沉静恬美的气质。结尾扶桑花女孩们的舞蹈把剧情推向高潮，结束得恰到好处。还有，小优的笑容太打动人了，尤其是弯弯的笑眼！
看得热泪盈眶，特别是在火车站的时候，很感人。
第一次看松雪泰子作品，真是惊艳，舞台上的苍井优迷死人。矿工大哥大概是丰川悦司最让人看得顺眼的角色，还有红牡丹博徒老妈，再加上一个简单热血的故事。夫复何求？
又是一部昭和时代的电影，那个时代的日本人与日本精神貌似是现在的他们努力追溯与怀念的。努力跳舞、努力生活、努力微笑、努力收获，笑中带泪的拥抱生活，也许是昭和精神的所在吧！一星给青春无敌的小优和依旧美丽的泰子：）

看完这电影的最大感受是！~~我也要在海滩跳夏威夷舞嘛~~
经济搭台，文化唱戏，第三产业焕发生机。保守势力与新势力的角逐，工人如翩翩起舞般的自救，使社会表达大于叙事功能。如此没落而衰败的历史，竟能以本土化歌舞元素点缀，值得肯定。从某种意义上讲，《扶桑花女孩》与《钢的琴》有惊人的相似，虽然创作者如矿工般的挖掘过程会经历痛苦而煎熬的摸索。

松雪泰子令人惊叹的美丽。苍井优演得不错，但最打动我的却是半途离开的早苗小姑娘
日本人对于土地拥有很深的眷恋，恶童里也有这样的故事，海角七号多少也是受了日本的影响吧
碰巧央视六套看的，感觉像很老的电影，谁知是07。中间还是有数处感动，日本人真认真啊，人与人之间的那种情意，给棕榈树取暖……
不知为何眼眶总是湿润，记录一个时代的执著与奋斗
