Sagwa (a kitten), her siblings, and her parents are owned by a Chinese official called "The Foolish Magistrate" (since he tends to make laws and proclamations rather grandiosely and illogically) in 19th Century China. She and her parents are "scribe" cats, who transcribe the magistrate's words to paper in beautiful calligraphy. The series begins by showing how Sagwa came to the magistrates favor by negating one of his foolish laws at the same time ink-staining her face to appear as a Siamese cat. She has many adventures with her siblings, her friend Fufu (a bat), and the local village cats who don't live as luxuriously as her and her family.

小时候，小众动画片中最喜欢的一个，因为CCTV少儿频道凌晨的一次放映，偶然看到了傻瓜猫，喜欢这种看外国人眼里的清朝的方式。印象最深的镜头就是片头从妃子大袖口中一跃而出的白猫...
貌似在电视上看过
感觉sagwa某种感觉上和《末代皇帝》很像，中外混搭，是外国人眼中的中国，主要是BGM好听，不是中式创作但一听就知道很符合中式音乐，中式乐器演奏出来还带有洋气儿，我挺喜欢这种奇妙的感觉
