前半段《马耳他之鹰》感，最后半小时变成夺宝奇兵。Ford轻车熟路的noir路线，旁白很有腔调，伴以墨西哥古迹，nostalgia和迷人的历史观拉满。
情节一波三折，探宝的过程比较单薄，也太容易了。结尾的追逐戏不错，几个角色的性格设置也算能自圆其说，异域风情是加分项。
格伦福特就是黑色电影里的ultimate fall guy，而且他出演了很多具有异域风情的黑色电影。本片人物众多情节复杂，把黑色电影与寻宝结合在一起，算是别出心裁了。墨西哥阿兹台克的实景拍摄让人印象深刻。
