Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, alive with the charm of the 1950s, a gang of street kids known as Capitães da Areia (Captains of the Sands) are hunted like common criminals. As we draw closer, we see that they are just children, almost a hundred of them, completely abandoned. But they won't be children for long: by the end of this odyssey, many will have become men. A year in the lives of these boys, in which they have incredible adventures, the most wonderful dreams, visit hell, discover sex, death and freedom!

#巴西电影节# Jorge Amado小说改编的电影。与《盗贼们》一样是盗贼片，巴西人和韩国人的处理完全不同，南美式的肆意、散漫、热情充满全片，人物颇有特色，但更像群描而缺少一些戏剧张力。
像是一段青春，更像是一段传奇
这样的爱尤其珍贵。他们没有父母，没有家人，甚至连最基本的生活都难以保障。他们打架斗殴，地痞流氓，随时有丧命的可能。他们保护自己意气用事。在这样的条件下产生的爱无比动人。或许这不是重点，但这一切却比再多的刻意描绘都来得有力量。女性导演镜头下的边缘少年，危险，脆弱，复杂，但善良。
所以女主死掉的设定到底是为哪般？
于是，在台上演员的战舞自high和台下观众的理解不能中，巴西电影节欢乐的结束了...
