The Homestretch follows three homeless teens as they fight to stay in school, graduate, and build a future. Each of these smart, ambitious teenagers - Kasey, Anthony and Roque - will surprise, inspire, and challenge audiences to rethink stereotypes of homelessness as they work to complete their education while facing the trauma of being alone and abandoned at an early age. Through haunting images, intimate scenes, and first-person narratives, these teens take us on their journeys of struggle and triumph. As their stories unfold, the film connects us deeply with larger policy issues of juvenile justice, immigration, foster care, and LBGTQIA rights. 题材还满老套 刻画对象还是比较弱势的群体：黑人和拉丁裔 比较主旋律的感觉 最后无非就是通过一定努力最后有了比较好的结果 或者有些实在是需要外力的借助才能改善这类无奈的情况 画面感也没有太精致 总之 带着开卷有益的心去看就好了 （批判的心看 白人去拍 总有种自我满足居高临下的感觉 ）
