乔治有一种特异功能，可以同时存在于无数可能世界。但是他死了，连脑也给人偷走。顺著两名侦探的线索，我们进入了乔治的存在多面体。他在不同时空仍寻觅他一爱再爱的乔伊丝，但这个灵魂伴侣却时而是他妻子，时而是陌生人。
编剧约翰米顿精通数学，将灵魂是否存在于大脑，想像力对思维的影响等问题，写成两幕黑色喜剧，九○年上演曾获奖项，此刻更亲自改编成电影。
导演罗拔利伯殊（《能／不能》，《我为兄狂》）亦是魁北克剧坛奇才，最擅时空交错和迷幻场景，在本片更将科幻、哲理和奇情融为一体 George and Joyce lead parallel lives in alternate worlds. In each of those lives, George embarks on a relationship with Joyce, sometimes more successfully than others. George also becomes increasingly aware of his alternate lives, not only of Joyce in each of them, but what he carries of himself between each of those lives. In one of those lives, he is the most recent homicide victim in a rash of B&E's. In his case, he is the first victim where nothing of monetary value has been stolen, but only his brain removed from his skull and taken from the crime scene. The lead police investigators, Inspector Berkley and Detective Williams, although sometimes at odds with each other, eventually come to the conclusion that the murder has something to do with brain research, and that George may have been targeted rather than a random victim. In addition to Berkley and Williams' investigation and discovering the identity of the murderer, the alternate question becomes how this situation fits in with George's lives as a collective, especially as it relates to Joyce.

没想到这么棒！以为讲的是平行世界，没想到是生离死别版的暖暖内含光啊
影片结束后，音乐显得很有诗意。
和失眠症的氛围很像，可能因为都是高纬度吧；场景超级时髦，完全不过时惹，千禧年的末世感让那时的科幻元素影片都有冰冷的非生命感；因为他的脑子被偷是没有什么具体用处只做观察的，所以脑中的剧情要依靠思维的深度和广度来展开，所以思考要更深刻更哲学，基本上做得是蛮好的，比蝴蝶效应源代码更诗意
作为一个科幻爱好者真的好久没看过科幻了。一种深深的孤寂感。I‘ve never seen anybody more lonely than you. 这台词写的真好。
但是从镜头上来看，这部绝对不能低分，各种镜头切换得毫无违和感非常平滑。从内容上来看，的确是会人看得不耐烦。在被人操控的大脑之下拥有了无数的经历，算是另一种平行时空的变形吧。我们有无数的可能
很有意思的一片，编剧也是脑洞打开，这也让我想起了另一部片《是谁杀死了我的大脑》。
当一个灵魂占领另一个平行空间的肉体，那另一个空间原本的灵魂将于何处安放？哦，原来是大脑试验，好吧。。。
李欣频：人可以透过梦境自由进出各时空，进出人生各版本，而这部电影将如此复杂的情节，拍得极为流畅精彩，可见这导演平日受梦的启发非常丰富。自体引爆点，同时开启多元窗口的人生版本。
命题真玄。故事也真形而上。浓浓的科幻味结果居然拍出一首诗出来。转场好玩有想法但是稍微有点过。剧本没把自己绕糊涂实属不易。一些对话实在设计的水准之下。斯文顿的墨镜黑头巾真帅爆。唯爱永生的造型来源？
这就是一个「缸中之脑」实验，在我看来，电影跟平行空间毫无关系，平行空间只是用来解释，男主此时此刻的处境的一种手法，因为男主并不知道，自己只是实验室里的一个脑子，所以才误认为自己具有感知平行空间的能力，事实上，男主只是活在自己的想象力中

有些深奥的电影，暂时没怎么看懂。个人理解是探讨灵魂与意识在各个平行世界的同时存在
由于字幕时间轴不对，我基本上是每隔20秒就要调一下字幕，自然很多会跳过，真娘地郁闷，因为最后没看懂，比如那个在常温下冻死的老头是怎么回事？！
