Set in 1820 against the backdrop of the windswept Cornish moors, the story follows Mary’s journey when she is forced to live with an aunt at the eponymous inn after the death of her mother and discovers it to be the hub of a smuggling ring. Cornwall, early 19th century. A recently orphaned young woman by the name of Mary arrives to live with her aunt and uncle after the death of her widowed mother. It isn't long before Mary learns that her aunt's husband, Joss, leads a band of criminals who cause shipwrecks for profit. Coming closer to the truth of everything will cause Mary to fear for her life.

事实证明，对我来说解压应该看惊悚片。这部三集的短剧多年前也看过，所以幕后黑手是神父这一幕再看时少了冲击力，反觉他投降的草率。本片改编自20世纪同名小说，原书也是走悬疑路线的，不过片子在我看来，气氛有余，情节不足。19世纪的英国海边荒原处，多雾、灰冷，父母皆亡、孤苦的20岁年轻女子，凭着单纯的完美主义设想，非要争个所谓合理和正义，幸运的是“坏人”最后都死了，女孩也得到了她的爱情。而我看后只想说：当人们都还是被武力和恐惧统治的时候，何为正义，又何为合理呢？谁是更好的，谁又是真的有罪的呢？有的只是愚昧和无尽的黑暗，罢了。
节奏把握得还不错，三小姐也很给力，但是反派实在是太 令 我 失 望 了 ！完全没有营造出女主在对抗整个小镇的感觉，反派很少而且结构简单，可以说丝毫没有震慑力。看到最后主教还在用枪的时候我忍不住笑了。而且女主的感情线也整得一塌糊涂……
一点也不惊悚……看得只想在乌云下的荒原上飞奔结局男人不坏，女人不爱……
这年头好好按原著拍部戏就那么难吗。

三级迷你剧，翻拍的是杜穆里埃的小说，但不知道为什么和我印象中的剧情不太一样（指希胖的黑白版）。主线剧情很简单：投奔阿姨的女主来到牙买加客栈，发现姨夫是犯罪集团的一员，利用大雾误导货船撞上礁石，然后杀人越货。这个故事实在是太过简单以至于幕后老板的身份半点悬念也没有但剧情转折做得太糊弄人了，女主先是因为姨夫喝醉酒得知了其真实身份（这种酒量差嘴不牢的人还是不要吸收到犯罪集团来就好了），后又毫无难度地撞破了牧师的阴谋（牧师兄妹密谋就不能等到女主喝下迷药昏过去吗），最终莫名其妙地把牧师给说死了。角色的人设很无趣，剧情也基本无聊得一眼望到底，雾景和山林的氛围倒是还可以勉强看看。
感觉三小姐没有唐顿庄园里好看了
具体讲的什么我已经不太记得了，就记得当年看它的时候给我带来的那种致郁感、阴沉感，原来古英国也并不怎么繁荣发达种种
剧情真的太简单，这真的是bbc拍的吗?
感觉没有很惊悚的感觉，反而因为取景太美有点田园小清新。
