流浪汉吉尔的父亲原是一名承包商，由于经营不善而破产，使吉尔到处流浪无家可归。而邻家姑娘凯特却继承了父亲的酒店，她经营有方，生意红火，生活富裕。这一切使吉尔怀恨在心，认为自己的不幸是凯特的父亲造成的。父债女还，因此吉尔伺机接近凯特，从而向她进行报复，夺回本该属于自己的一切。当计划失败以后，吉尔失去理智，丧心病狂，最终落得个悲惨的下场。
Kate Grayson is a business woman living with her detective partner Ben. That is until Gil Draper, comes crashing literally (more or less) into their lives after bouncing off her car. Upon learning this seemingly homeless drifter has been on the streets for some considerable lengthy time. Kate despite her boyfriend's objections decides to let Gil recuperate in the garage of her guest cottage. However both her family and his share a connected history and beneath Gil's friendly peaceful exterior lies a concealed grudge, dominant until now.
