The film shows the German dancer and choreographer Gerda Koenig creating a new dance show in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The camera observes the audition process and the difficult selection of the new dancers as well as many intimate moments of the rehearsals over a period of two months. Finally, a new dance piece is brought to life and the premiere turns out to be a huge success.
