剧情介绍
民主党总统安德鲁（迈克尔·道格拉斯 Michael Douglas 饰）正在准备竞选连任，他准备颁布一项犯罪控制法案，一旦法案通过，安德鲁的连任便是板上钉钉的事情了。法国总统携夫人来到哥伦比亚特区进行外交访问，本来打算陪同安德鲁前往的表妹生病不能成行，于是安德鲁想到了之前有求于他的环境保护志愿者悉妮（安妮特·贝宁 Annette Bening 饰），两人交换了条件决定结伴出席国宴。
让安德鲁没有想到的是，自己竟然被悉妮大大咧咧的个性深深吸引，情不自禁坠入情网，而两人的情事，不巧被安德鲁的竞争对手鲍勃（理查德·德莱福斯 Richard Dreyfuss 饰），利用其大做文章，尽情诋毁二人。 Andrew Shepherd is approaching the end of his first term as President of the United States. He's a widower with a young daughter and has proved to be popular with the public. His election seems assured. That is until he meets Sydney Ellen Wade, a paid political activist working for an environmental lobby group. He's immediately smitten with her and after several amusing attempts, they finally manage to go on a date (which happens to be a State dinner for the visiting President of France). His relationship with Wade opens the door for his prime political opponent, Senator Bob Rumson, to launch an attack on the President's character, something he could not do in the previous election as Shepherd's wife had only recently died.

不愧是自由民主的美国民主党拍出来的爱情电影呢（微笑脸）
就像内地古装偶像剧嫁接好莱坞小妞片，还挺可爱。角色话多到以为嘴是租来的，一翻评论发现编剧是索金。
无时不在的好莱坞固有模式是这部电影最无趣的地方，不过期间还是有些被打动的地方，比如道格拉斯记者招待会的演讲和安妮特贝宁的小表情，优秀的演员可以让无趣变得有趣起来。
因为看了Aaron Sorkin的编剧课所以来看一下，他说很多删掉的内容都是白宫风云的原型。其实我也疯狂感受到他那种“我更擅长写Shepherd结尾独白那一段的内容”，去辩论那种ideas。女主角很有魅力，说通了许多剧本说不通的事情。

一星送给好莱坞的编剧，把爱情和总统结合起来，这首先就是一个亮点，虽然内容有些老套甚至生搬硬套，但起码这是个顶配版的王子灰公主的故事，感慨中国的电影行业什么时候也能这样突破一些界限，而不要人云亦云
以总统为主角的romcom也是第一次见
