夏天炎热的城市夜空让人有点焦躁难耐，迷失在这座水泥城市里，他像个幽灵一样游荡，悬浮在夏日的气波里，不知该飘向何处。
陈果，在女朋友离他而去之后，将做内衣设计师的梦想收入箱底，发起了小广告。一次偶然间，他遇到了一个和女朋友长得很像的KTV女孩璐璐，于是开始关注璐璐。
卢静怡，丈夫是植物人，住在璐璐的隔壁，经常听见璐璐房间传来的声音，她感到无比的孤独和寂寞。
璐璐是一个渴望爱情的人，对生活的绝望让她想结束自己的生命，没想到却被陈果救下。当卢静怡在璐璐家门口遇见陈果的时候，她开始注意到这个经常去她超市买泡面的男人。

私下的几次放映都是很早的版本。去年夏天的通州，王志离我很近。我去了他在罗斯福附近租的房子观看。那天，天气很热。看伏天儿让人感同身受。精剪，调色，声音全部做完效果好了很多。它不是那种大格局的影片，很小众，很私人。但是并不影响我对它的喜欢，而且几次感动。我一直不太喜欢在夏天拍戏，但是看完伏天儿我也想拍一部那种燥热的，湿漉漉的电影。我经常想起电影里的情节，它让人难忘。尤其在天气寒冷的时候，更会悄悄的想起它。想起我们这帮年轻的独立电影人，走南闯北，然后聚到一起拍电影，聊电影，看电影
