She also shares anecdotes about working with Charlie Chaplin and Woody Allen, and discusses her relationships with Richard Burton, Rod Steiger and author Philip Roth.
1950s Britain enjoyed an explosion of new, acting talent. Gaining their experience through an established network of repertory theatres, RADA and the new National Theatre established by Sir Laurence Olivier at the Old Vic, many of those who would go on to become acting legends experienced their first exposure on stage and screen as part of the British Free Cinema movement.
