The dead are coming back to life outside the isolated Mi'gMaq reserve of Red Crow, except for its Indigenous inhabitants who are strangely immune to the zombie plague.
The term "blood quantum" refers to a colonial blood measurement system that is used to determine an individual's Indigenous status, and is criticized as a tool of control and erasure of Indigenous peoples. The words take on even more provocative implications as the title of Jeff Barnaby's sophomore feature, which grimly depicts an apocalyptic scenario where in an isolated "Mi'gmaq" community discover they are the only humans immune to a zombie plague. As the citizens of surrounding cities flee to the "Mi'gmaq" reserve in search of refuge from the outbreak, the community must reckon with whether to let the outsiders in - and thus risk not just the extinction of their tribe but of humanity, period. 不是啥好片子是真的，但是也没有这么烂，电影开头很有意思，但是后续剧情都是丧尸片的套路了。原住民男主非常帅（儿子和爹都很帅）。
血量子，血无量。恐怖片？搞笑片？全瞎编。

一开始的血腥尺度还是很抓眼球的，可一旦开始涉及到幸存者内部的问题就崩了。
【2.0】在丧尸片同质化严重且粗制滥造居多的情形下，本片显得足够别致，不管是带有现实问题映射的原住民叙事也好，还是质感不错的、略带文艺范的摄影也好。但影片的别致并不能掩盖它难看的事实，导演不仅剧本写得乱糟糟的，导戏的能力也欠佳，原本应该煽情的情节拍得干瘪无味，原本应该剑拔弩张的场面也拍得松松垮垮的。
本片节奏快，快速进入主题、快速介绍人物背景、快速建立世界观、然后再谈人性阴暗面，人生意义和原住民情怀。丧尸的表现、人类的表现，电影展示了18禁的血腥场面：断头、破肠、肢解，血浆足，非常值得一看！单是丧尸功能、角色功能，准确地切入氛围中，简单来说就是丧尸令你恐惧，人物令你感同身受。上面提过电影有大量的文献，营造出末世的那种孤立感和恐慌感。《血量子》的前三分之一紧张而狰狞，有几桶血和制作精良的动作戏。就好像导演把那半小时作为一部短片来拍，然后意识到他必须把剩下部分拍成长片，就这样，那个充满希望的开场戏直接跳到了六个月后，《血量子》就变成了一部不同的电影，一个关于大院里的幸存者的故事。巧妙的转折是：部落成员发现自己对丧尸的叮咬免疫了。这就好像是这个星球在努力把自己还给那些真正应该得到它的人！
